The first chapter in The Family History section of this website will be a detailed history of The Culkin Family, dedicated to Kit's children, who may wish one day to know of their roots.

It will include how the Culkin name came to evolve in Ireland, and continue with a history of the first Culkins to arrive in New York City; this in the mid-1800s. Rare photographs and documents, which have been kept by Kit's cousin, the late Irene Culkin Collins, and thoroughly researched by her daughter Donna Collins Young, will be woven in with detailed writings on the lives of the family.
