ALERT !!!!

It has come to the attention of this website that ABC is producing a

"Biography of the Culkin kids"

According to an e-mail from this network to us at Kitculkin.com, their program is for presentation sometime soon on the biography channel.

First let me say that i checked with the biography channel web site but could find no record of this future project, hence I cannot vouch for the e-mail's validity.

However, having said this, and having plugged the show (be it specious or no), let me here take the opportunity which this message affords to say a word or two.

In its preparation for this presentation, ABC admits to having "interviewed a handful of industry people who are critical about (sic:of?) (Kit's) management of Macaulay's career and personal life"; this admission in a (quite apparent) bid (as they put it) "to touch base with (Kit) and give him a chance to respond and comment".

Now, from my personal experiences with these matters, let me here say that it is hard to imagine that ABC didn't know that this request was but both obligatory and perfunctory.

Kit never speaks to the press.

("who cares what they say ?!")

Well, as editor of this website (one who has researched most everything that has affected Mr. Culkin throughout his lifetime) let me here say that I do care !!!!

Kit's pronouncement on the press, that "they never ever come even close to getting it right - not about anything - and (what is more) don't even care to" has, in my experience of the reportings on him, been dead on the mark.

I am not here going to speak to the lying and the self-serving: - nor to all of those who in their own self-importance were made to suffer from Mr. Culkin's lips the word "no": - nor to all of those who had or have anything and everything to gain and absolutely nothing to personally lose (save their own self-respect) in tearing Mr. Culkin down for his best efforts in support of his children:...and this publicly for his kids to hear!

(What possible altruistic reason could they possibly have had to so speak with ABC?!)

No, I'm not going to speak to-or-on any of them. They all - (little men!) - remind me of that old Bob Dylan lyric, 'my loss will be your gain'.

But I will leave you with this tiny tidbit for chewing:

in the months just prior to his being taken to court in what was basically the coup d'etat that relieved him of his parental responsibilities, and which (not so incidentally) effectively brought an end to his son Macaulay's career, Mr. Culkin had been in negotiations with Twentieth Century Fox for a John Hughes written and produced, Chris Columbus directed "Home Alone 3"...

And,- just as several years earlier (and before the original "Home Alone" had even opened) he had negotiated the first $1,000,000 single picture deal for a child in the history of hollywood, - so too here was history in the making: the money on the table (in addition to a gross percentage 'back end') running northward from $12,000,000 (with $15,000,000 in sight); a sum which, anyway it came down, would have made Macaulay Culkin the highest paid movie star of any age in film history.

"Critical of Kit's management" !!!!!!!!!!!!

Is ABC-biography supplying a laugh track ?!
